Tourism in Antarctica is ruining the environment.
So don't go there. Just go to Alaska. Who even knows the difference?

The Antarctic treaty has strict rules on how to interact with the continent and the wildlife. You can't just go there and start poking things. No more than 100 people are allowed on the continent at one time. You are not allowed to touch any wildlife. You're not allowed to take or leave anything. It's also very expensive to go. Organizations like National Geographic take people there for tourism but they also use 25% of the proceeds for scientific research and preservation purposes. Responsible tourism to remote destinations put those destinations on the map for the average person. Without any accessibility, places like Antarctica might as well be fairylands that people feel no responsibility towards. They're not inclined to care about it. Taking people there and showing that this is a real place with real life creates so much awareness and activism, it outweighs the footprint left behind. Antarctica has no native population so it has no one to create awareness for its preservation. Showing people that there's this vast land there, there's life and everything you do back home has an impact there is beneficial. People care about global warming and the fate of arctic wildlife a lot more after they've witnessed how magnificent it is or after they've heard the stories of their friend who've visited it and was transformed. If you ban Antarctica, no one's gonna care about it as much other than actual scientists.
You know you're an idiot when you think water is fresher because it's 400,000 years old.
Also, I could see the flattards jumping all over this news piece..."see, they says not to go there, cuz they knows it don't exist!"
Better plan. Take all the Flat Earthers, and send them to Antarctica. Tell them they can leave when they find the edge of the Earth. Then ban everyone from going there, because no one is going to need or want to pick them up anyway.
Well then. After watching 'A Place Further than the Universe' I figured it was one of the last wild places on earth. But yeah not a great idea. Eesh.
Protip: There are other places you can see penguins. Such as Phillips Island over here in Australia, we have fairy penguins! It's a lot warmer than Antarctica and you can watch them come in from the sea to feed their chicks.
Also aren't you supposed to stay 500 metres away from the penguins in Antarctica?
I dont believe anything said on this video, those people you see are probably in the coast of south of Chile and Argentina but definitely not in Antartica. Antartica is the most militarized place on earth, you need a special permission for sailing "nearby" but not close to it and there is not turists at all..This video is nonsense propaganda!
i agree we shouldnt pollute it, but can we please get someone to go and get proof that we already have, so the flat earthers will shut the hell up about "ice walls" ive never met a group of idiots who will stare at millions of photos, and thousands of videos, and still say "nah its flat" i was hoping Darwinism would kick them in the ass by now, but nope, some how they still exist.
If you want to see penguins, there are colonies of them in NZ, plenty of seals and sealions as well, or you can goto the international antartic center in christchurch, they have several rescue penguins and an entire educational facility regarding antartica.
They don't want you to visit Antarctica because people will discover the ice wall that all the Flat Earthers have been telling us about, thus proving wrong all the science we've been taught, and that has been proven correct for a thousand years!
I'm a bit late, but as someone who got the chance to visit Antarctica, I just wanted to add some information with that perspective. Of course, I'm NOT advocating for Antarctica to be completely overrun by tourism. But I wanted to say that at least the tourist cruise lines have really tight regulations on how visitors behave there. You have to wash your boots and such before and after each landing and you can only walk on certain paths made by the guides. Additionally, (at least for the cruise line we went on) the amount of people allowed to go is limited and most places have a limit to the number of people that can be on land at once. A large portion of the cruise was also dedicated to lectures about the ecosystem there, how to preserve it, and how humans shamefully used it in the past (i.e. whaling stations; god, it was chilling that our sole continental landing was where the peak of whaling happened there...). The staff, too, was made of a lot of biologists focused on the conservation effort of these places. I guess, I'm trying to say that while we shouldn't let tourism become rampant and ruin the place, I think that if you really want to go, there are very responsible tour groups that can take you there and even teach you how to not ruin the place.
They don't want people in Antarktika, becuase they might see the dome and/or realise that antarctica goes around the planet like so https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2f/Flat_earth.png
PS: I'm just making fun of flat earthers, i'm not one.
If the Flat Earthers were correct, we wouldn't have issues with trying to project the world map onto a flat piece of paper. There would be no need for Mercator, Robinson, Goode, Mollweide, Eckert, and Gall–Peters to make their own versions of the map. Everyone would have the same map, the azimuthal equidistant, if that really were the case.
Antarctica does have land under most of it, but about a quarter of the ice sheet is floating on the ocean. If you reveal the actual land beneath all that ice, assuming the sea level stays the same, Antarctica is actually an archipelago of islands, and the largest of them is smaller than Greenland.
*facepalm* that guy in the kayak at 1:10 all I wanted to do is reach through my phone screen, give him a hearty slap in the face and say "what the fork are you doing you stupid shit, do you even know how old that ice is, you shouldn't be touching anything around you in Antarctica this is a sacred place that is getting smaller with each passing year and here you are going "hur dur dur I'm going to bite this ice because I'm a big dumb dummy dumb who doesn't give a crud about nature hur dur dur"…god some people need to grow some brain cells man
"More than 40 000 people visit Antarctica every single year."
You can't fool us! Those are actors trying to make us think the Earth is a globe! Only NASA and Russian military can visit Antarctica, and they shoot down whichever civilian tries to approach!
(This was a satire.)
How to become bitcoin trader? Exactly like Bitcoin, multiple digital currencies exist in the marketplace. So if you prefer to buy a few other currencies which aren`t available on Indian Exchange than you can utilize Bittrex. All you have to do is locate an exchange that you favor. Cryptocurrency exchanges have a massive potential to modify peoples minds and opinions concerning cryptocurrencies generally speaking and their application in actual life. So even in the event the exchange is attacked, its still true that you have your money. Furthermore, the exchanges prepare each and every industry for Bitcoin expansion. Existing stock exchanges will also compete to be able to fulfill the users configuration requirements. Sooner or later later on, the prices will grow more equal, meeting somewhere in the middleyour profit is equivalent to the quantity of convergence. No matter how far it is from Kijun, it is likely to return and test that level at some point. The amount of bitcoin is perpetually changing. In the US, it is 1000 USD. Whats even better, seek the services of a seasoned lawyer or at least ask for an in depth consultation. So youve read the newspaper about the meteoric growth of crypto currencies including Bitcoin or Ripple. Then coming up with 1000s of exchange rates simply to go out and get groceries is nearly impossible. Many cities around the world provide a bitcoin ATM where you are able to trade cash for bitcoin. The cryptocurrency world isn`t efficient.
