What are zk-SNARKs and how they secure PRIVACY on the Blockchain - ZCash-ZenCash

188 ratings | 4650 views
Most people involved in Cryptocurrency have heard of ZCash and many of those understand that ZCash is a privacy coin. ZCash is essentially Bitcoin . .but with an added level of privacy through the use of zk-SNARKs. ZenCash is a fork of ZClassic which is a fork of ZCash which means that ZenCash chooses to implement all of ZCash's tech advancements and also morph ZenCash to their goals and vision. How do Zero Knowledge Proofs or zk-SNARKs tech actually work? I get you’re a miner but all that background noise interferes with your talk.

I like how organized all your GPU boxes are :D

Voskcoin , i've been keeping my gains in Zcash , if my goal is to make money and grow the farm bit by bit , should i stay zcash or just convert to bitcoin ?
Miss Vosk (5 months ago)
I'm personally keeping most of my earnings in coins like ZEC, ZEN, and NEO. I think those have a better chance of doubling than bigger coin like BTC.
A D (6 months ago)
Really well explained! I’m glad that you are actually educating people about the technology rather than just the mining side of things.

if the verifier never sees the person go through the door, they can only assume they know the password. But there is the chance that the person went around the door, or that there is no door. :-) Now I feel like I'm talking about the matrix. lol

Try harder not to say "ya know" so much. No, I don't know. That's why i'm listening to you speak. If I knew, i wouldn't bother to watch. Try to pause instead. This will make your videos batter, I guarantee it.
Khalid Young (6 months ago)
This is why you can’t sell it directly for usd , if you wanna concert it to cash $ you’ll have to convert to other coins ie bitcoin eth or litecoin
Negroni (6 months ago)
Love your vids. I think you should consider being long Monero instead of ZCash. Many currencies have adopted zk-SNARKs, which means there is nothing special about it. Monero's ring signatures are (as far as I know) unique, and the market is rewarding XMR with the highest private crypto market cap, 3x Zcash's market cap. My guess is the market only needs 1 privacy crypto and so far Monero seems to be winning.

Sounds like Zen Cash could have an important role in exposing corruption in governments and institutions because of the ability to keep the identities of whistleblowers truly anonymous.

Do you have a monitor facing you? Noticed blue light on your face? .......So I was typing this I realized maybe you had notes (what all to cover etc.) on a screen facing you. Pretty interesting video (I don't really remember what a Trio rig is now though :p), I must say I did enjoy it and it wasn't so long I lost interest. Nice job!!
VoskCoin (6 months ago)
Hahaha I lol’d at the trio comment xD and yeah I used it to try to be more concise at it was a pretty technical topic. Thanks man! 🐺

Big Question ..... does Zencash have the infrastructure to cash it out without going through bitcoin yet
k p (6 months ago)
ya its seems like the only thing that's slowing down zcash /zencash

Not quite yet, surely eventually 🐺

Will crypto-currencies in the future, be migrating to proof of stake and will mining rigs able to handle this new protocol?
genelab1 (6 months ago)
I think ponzi schemes are on both sides of the fence.
uwotm9 (6 months ago)
It is a interesting topic. POS works when done well, but currently there is little trust in this as ponzi schemes have attached to the cryptocurrency community and abused POS name and reputation.

hey im looking to drop 20k into building 1 or many rigs. been watching your videos and surfing the web for 3 days. im undecided on the gpu i should go for. as the 1060s and 1070s are all mixed with samsung or micron memories, ive been thinking of 1080tis. id like to know your input on mining altcoin with gpus and the best build or builds for a 20k investment
uwotm9 (6 months ago)
Have you considered going part and part mining and buying coins? the best of both worlds. Zencash is a great example of a coin to both mine and hold.
Ryan Lemon (6 months ago)
Man I want to get into mining but I have no idea how to get started
NiklausonNA (6 months ago)
Hey Vosk and fellow watchers/subscribers! So from the description list to build a mining rig I have a question (I already watched your video about it), in the section of "Power Supplies" if I wanted to use 1 power supply only for 6 cards, I should get the 750w EVGA, the Server, and the Pico PSU ATC Adap.???? Or is the Pico PSU ATC Adap not needed, what is it for? I'm new to this and I want to get involved I've already did tons of research but I'm about to buy everything needed for the rig but I just can't figure out that part yet. I subscribed already, keep up the good content!! :)

Your videos are produced really well. Did one of you go to school for video production? You have the logo, the lingo, jingle, the mascot, and the nicknames. This is really good branding. I'm just wondering if you came up with it on your own or were taught. Also, I built a 6 card 1070ti rig. The exact one you built with cryptochick. I built it because of your videos. I am much more happy with the rig than I am with the 6 D3s I bought. I wish I could go back in time and go only with gpu rigs instead of having wasted all that money.
Tony Anzalone (6 months ago)
Isaac Newton where are your videos so I can judge the production quality?

Thanks Tony I really appreciate that and the fact you'd take the time to type a reply like this out. I'm self-taught / in high school and college my teachers and professors rated me as below average for the most part. Prior to VoskCoin I built a detailing & car care business and in this I was able to put so many of my ideas into practice. This is where I learned so much more than any classroom ever taught me and now I'm trying to apply everything I have into VoskCoin. That's so cool to hear and I'm happy you're enjoying it. I agree to say the D3's were a bit of bust would be an understatement. . shout out to Bitmain for never caring about their end-user. Fortunately Dash did spike so they should at least ROI, in my opinion it still might be worth it to ditch them throw them in a good coin recoup the money and then either continue holding or build out some more gpu rigs :D Good luck man!

Thanks for another video! By the way, what do you think about Sun Mining? Their contracts look attractive but 1) you don't get crypto back which is kind of lame, and 2) I don't know how they can afford solar for all their power and 3) I've been ripped off big time with cloud mining before (GAW'd) and it's part of the reason I'm hardware mining now. Let me know what you think, might be a nice way to generate cash flow to pay electric bills / loans back.
VoskCoin (6 months ago)
Thanks man! Honestly I haven't heard much about them and have no experience with them. I have 2 contracts with Genesis Mining and it's been an EH experience overall. . I can look more into Sun Mining and maybe make a video about it though!

I had to set my priopties straight set a schedule and fallow it, so I haven't watched YT in a while so ya, but things are going good now and I gotta catch up, it great that you are teaching the public especially as many wonder how it works and how its secure as most of the time they just say the word"block chain", if you want I have a friend who is looking to sell his 1080ti ftw3 cards fyi, you know its serios if you have written a promt lol, good night don't let the dev fees bite
VoskCoin (6 months ago)
good to see you brother! Glad you like the video topic, it's a bit off from what I normally cover but I feel it's important to touch on these subjects the best I can once in awhile. Exactly as you said people just slap the word blockchain and they're like yup, blockchain. done. lol. I appreciate it man but I just splurged on a new 1070 TI build that's upcoming xD

I've watched several of your vids... and I've watched a bunch of other vids on building rigs but none really reveal how much money can be earned by running a rig/rigs... can you shed some light? I saw one build - 16 rigs x 6 GPUs each + 2 air conditioners and 2 extraction fans... they were grossing $3500/mo but power cost $1200... it was estimated they prob invested $75k to build that system.. I am no genius, but earning $2300 on a $75k investment seems ludicrous when I have made way more than that as a hodler... please advise or instruct me - am I missing something? I'm nut asking you to reveal exactly what you earn... but take out affiliate commission from selling parts... just straight up mining, using the smartest configuration and applying it to the most lucrative coin - how much can a guy make on a gpu rig per month?
Jake Robinson (6 months ago)
have either of you looked at what it would take to build a secure node for ZenCash? Would it be worth it?
Jake Robinson (6 months ago)
hmmm, nice wrinkle to contemplate - off-site hosting... I have a perfect place to host during the winter... prob like many, but summer time in TN might dictate an offsite setup... can you recommend an offsite service?
Diego Lewis (6 months ago)
Ideally there is no work, everything runs smoothly and your miner never goes down. But life doesn't work that way unless you're in a data center (even then things go wrong). "Work" entails monitoring the miner to make sure it's up and running, and troubleshooting when it's not. Watching the prices of the coins (and predicting short term changes) so you're not wasting time mining less profitable coins. Keeping an eye on hardware costs for good buys, and finally getting USDs safely out of your investment (from wallet through exchange(s) to a bank) with minimum loss to fees / bid ask spreads / hackerz takes its own little bit of time and planning. I pay .11 per kWh. I also didn't design this to be an 8 card rig from the start, so it could all likely have been done a bit cheaper, but now I know for the next one. I'm actually going to be stuffing the whole thing in a rosewill BTC case (overpriced, just build it yourself, but I wanted to try it out and it is a very good product, just not necessary if you own a drill) and shipping it off to a data center for ultimate temps, stability and uptime. I lose more $ to downtime than I will spend hosting off-site, even though it is about double the power bill, but includes 1100W power, internet, remote hands service, ddos protection, vpn, the works.

The shelf unit behind you is starting to look a little bendy from the heat. I would definitely secure it to the wall so it doesn't fall over and wreck the miners.

Been watching a lot of your videos and thinking of doing a 1070 build. My current pricing is 0.18$ per kwh. Would you suggest a normal 1070 card or 1070ti I'm not sure which would get more production/watt. I know you recently investigated this and would love your input.

NardoneMA get the 1070 ti your eletricty is a bit more expensive so ya and its better in the long run, I finally got one and you won't be disappointed

VoskCoin thanks for the quick reply. I'll look more into the ti cards. Price is only a little higher I'm seeing about $500 per card.
VoskCoin (6 months ago)
I would suggest the 1070 TI as in my testing it's been the highest output per sol :D

How to become bitcoin trader? Exactly like Bitcoin, multiple digital currencies exist in the marketplace. So if you prefer to buy a few other currencies which aren`t available on Indian Exchange than you can utilize Bittrex. All you have to do is locate an exchange that you favor. Cryptocurrency exchanges have a massive potential to modify peoples minds and opinions concerning cryptocurrencies generally speaking and their application in actual life. So even in the event the exchange is attacked, its still true that you have your money. Furthermore, the exchanges prepare each and every industry for Bitcoin expansion. Existing stock exchanges will also compete to be able to fulfill the users configuration requirements. Sooner or later later on, the prices will grow more equal, meeting somewhere in the middleyour profit is equivalent to the quantity of convergence. No matter how far it is from Kijun, it is likely to return and test that level at some point. The amount of bitcoin is perpetually changing. In the US, it is 1000 USD. Whats even better, seek the services of a seasoned lawyer or at least ask for an in depth consultation. So youve read the newspaper about the meteoric growth of crypto currencies including Bitcoin or Ripple. Then coming up with 1000s of exchange rates simply to go out and get groceries is nearly impossible. Many cities around the world provide a bitcoin ATM where you are able to trade cash for bitcoin. The cryptocurrency world isn`t efficient.
