Coinbase: There has been lots of attention regarding the IRS investigation, but in my opinion, coinbase is only the first crypto exchange to be targeted by the IRS, they certainly won’t be the last. Which is all the more reason to consider looking into use decentralized exchanges. Not available in Hawaii, Wyoming, or Minnesota.
Kraken is meant for experienced traders. You can trade with many different cryptos as well as a number of different fiat currencies. Allows for margin trading
Poloniex: As I mentioned earlier, this exchange deals with a lot of volume which is good for making trades, but a few months ago it reached the point where the poloniex team was unable to handle the drastic surge in users. Causing trades to come to a halt mixed with severely delayed customer service which resulted in whole bunch of panic and a drop in faith in the exchange itself. That being said, Poloniex is still a very popular exchange that offers advanced trading options like margin trading and lending as well.
Bittrex also is an exchange designed purely for cryptocurrencies and I personally think this exchange is slightly better designed than Poloniex and far better than Kraken.
ShapeShift is similar to a decentralized exchange in that they do not hold any of your funds. They basically act as the medium for your trades.
Thanks for the video. Can I tell you my crazy Bitcoin story? Here it is anyway LOL around 2000 I was trying to purchase something that I probably shouldn't have been trying to purchase on what used to be called The Silk Road. I needed to buy Bitcoin for this transaction and never heard of it before and after a little research figured out how to do it. I believe I needed around 100 Bitcoin at the time and I was able to successfully purchase it, but had so much trouble trying to figure out how to send it that I eventually just gave up on it. Fast forward 18 years and I'm doing everything in my power to figure out how to get back to that transaction and figure out where the coins are and my private key to them etc. I know they are out there because I was able to go back in my bank record in that year and saw the online purchase, I'm so frustrated but not giving up hope that I will eventually find my hidden treasure. I even have some very intrigued Executives at my bank that are trying to help me as well. I'll keep you updated
Guide to crypto.
Buy some crypto on coin base. Do it with a small amount like 100 bucks first, or whatever is small money for you. (Min 60-80)
Send it to binance. https://www.binance.com/?ref=16360052
The main thing is you put in 100 bucks asap so you are in it and learn as a participant and not as a spectator. It is a little surreal from the outside.
The market is very volatile and very exiting.
Then after a week or few more put in more.
Be on a couple of bigger exchanges. You can check coinmarketcap.com to find what are the biggest exchanges for the crypto currency you are interested in.
My piece of wisdom:
Never invest more than you could manage to loose to a bank robber.
Investing means using spare money to make capital gains not gambling your child's birthday party away.
Even the big coins can go up or down 50 to 100% a day, what is like every month for each one of them.( XRP almost doubled its market cap, increasing by roughly 60 Billion USD, you could buy every single Tesla share with that)99%percent of successful investors are long term investors. Use your own brain and sell the greed and buy the fear.
The crypto world has a lot of traders who say they make gains from trading, but it comes mainly from the up-trend of crypto. Nevertheless crypto is way easier to use for making profits in trading than any other market.
Disclaimer: the binance link is my referral link. If you would like to give more money to binance instead, thats fine. Both works out the same for you.
I would suggest https://www.kucoin.com/#/?r=E3aT17? KuCoin is a new exchange that just launched in September 2017. The exchange aims to offer a similar service to Binance, in that users can earn rewards in exchange for using the platform. KuCoin lets customers earn money by staking coins, for example. You can also get a discount on trading rates, or earn 40% commission by referring other traders to the platform. In total, KuCoin gives 90% of its trading fee to users, while keeping 10% for a token buyback fund.
first time learned about cryptopia and shape shift ,all thanks to you, would you pls name some coins for short terms or how to get signals for trading,i believe majority signals are shared on twitter,,but your guidance would be very important,,thanks once again,,keep up the good work,,have a nice evening
Love it how during the most volatile time in cryptocurrency, she calmly posts a video about top crypto exchanges. Bitstamp is another good one but limited to only btc, eth, ltc and xrp. You can trade against usd and euro.
Heidi, I reserved your "cryptotips" alias on my SYS wallet in the event SysCoin hits it big down the road and you need it for your business...no charge as I appreciate your help and advice. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for pointing out the ludicrous exchange rate on shapeshift. I was smart to check out the conversion from litecoin to ethereum in dollar cost and it was 25%. This was in my Jaxx wallet. I cannot see myself using shapeshifty again unless there is more transparency about their exchange rate.
Thank you for the video.
What exchange would you recommend starting with if i wanna use my credit card to purchase bitcoin and ether? I'm thinking coinbase but not sure, also what digital wallet should i use until i get my hardware wallet? I'm ready to dip my feet in and start buying some crypto here. Thanks for the info.
8:20 cryptopia is my favorite and they have arbitrage too...novaexchange is another that has many currencies to choose from but again its centralized....wish there would be more decentralized ones with many to choose from....i use liqui.io but not much volume...
How to become bitcoin trader? Exactly like Bitcoin, multiple digital currencies exist in the marketplace. So if you prefer to buy a few other currencies which aren`t available on Indian Exchange than you can utilize Bittrex. All you have to do is locate an exchange that you favor. Cryptocurrency exchanges have a massive potential to modify peoples minds and opinions concerning cryptocurrencies generally speaking and their application in actual life. So even in the event the exchange is attacked, its still true that you have your money. Furthermore, the exchanges prepare each and every industry for Bitcoin expansion. Existing stock exchanges will also compete to be able to fulfill the users configuration requirements. Sooner or later later on, the prices will grow more equal, meeting somewhere in the middleyour profit is equivalent to the quantity of convergence. No matter how far it is from Kijun, it is likely to return and test that level at some point. The amount of bitcoin is perpetually changing. In the US, it is 1000 USD. Whats even better, seek the services of a seasoned lawyer or at least ask for an in depth consultation. So youve read the newspaper about the meteoric growth of crypto currencies including Bitcoin or Ripple. Then coming up with 1000s of exchange rates simply to go out and get groceries is nearly impossible. Many cities around the world provide a bitcoin ATM where you are able to trade cash for bitcoin. The cryptocurrency world isn`t efficient.
