So FIFA actually is the same as any tax free "religion." (Even though I can't understand why tax free status is a pre-requirement for religious practice.)

Ooh, those punchlines in the end! 😆 Even though you Americans might not like “soccer” much, the rest of the world is grateful for your FBI, who’s corruption investigations led to the eventual dawnfall of Sepp Blatter and his minions. Fitting you won the bid recently, for the World Cup after Qatar - it’s a big THANK YOU (besides being the best bid, in terms of infrastructure, existing stadiums that will also be used afterwards!) I think most fans agree that bids should be judged on the merits of sustainability and economic feasibility - not a way for corrupt regimes to spend their countries wealth, just to gain some international prestige.

I don't even actively watch football or any sports for that matter, but this world cup (2018) has got me excited. I am from Nepal, and we hear the news of the death tolls of those migrant workers locally. But I'm still watching some of the games. The whole religious celebration of world cup is crazy.

Qatar is a very developed country, you have a very bad idea on it, you Americans are just very uncultivated, Qatar airline is the best, the educational system there is very progressive, they are a rich country with rich and zillionaires citizens, for the temperature we in Algeria also sometimes have 50 degree in the summer in inner cities because we have desert and Qatar also have desert, if you don't know desert what it is you have to iearn some geography, and they have a very good plan to reduce the effect of temperature by using a technological system that make the stadium colder

And yet people still love and celebrate the 2018 World Cup in Russia... Which should be boycotted just for their human rights alone, let alone the corruption that got them the Cup in the first place...
Michael Berthelsen (22 hours ago)
Huschibaba I agree that the absolute best way to stabilize Eastern Europe (Ukraine), as well as other areas (Syria, Yemen, etc.) would be through cooperation and mutual benefit. However, for that to be possible, you'd have to have a partner who's actually interested in working together for mutual benefit. In order to believe that, you'd actually have to TRUST Putins statements. Apparently you're willing to put blind trust in his inane statements, while disregarding the fact that he's willing to lie and say whatever you want, as long as it benefits him, regardless of the consequences for anyone else. He's the MRGA guy. If he could, he'd rebuild the Russian Empire, that's his only goal. The furtherment of Russia, regardless of whether it's at the expense of others or not. He may have spoken of collaboration with the EU, but that's easy to say when you have no intentions whatsoever of following through, but it helps keep opposing states off your back, expecting you to play nice. Remember why the sanctions are as strict as they are? Because of a unilateral invasion of a sovereign state because he didn't like the results of their elections. Completely reasonable guy it's acceptable to work with, right? (And no, I don't approve of the US doing related things through the CIA either)
Huschibaba (23 hours ago)
Michael Berthelsen That's why I literally started the sentence with "I agree, Europe is generally more regulated than the US"... That's not the rethoric I used to hear over the decades. Listen to Putin's talk in the German Bundestag over a decade ago. He used to talk about our common European identity, about highly needed reforms, about Russia's final goal being a member of the EU, about the need to work together on the issues of economy and security. That doesn't sound like a nation charging in the direction of national socialism to me. Now guess which country opposed a close relationship between Europe and Russia. One tip: It's the same country that forces the EU to put sanctions on Russia while ignoring their own sanctions all the time. We are not dependent on Russia, but the best way to prevent war or a proxy war (Ukraine) is interdependence between West and East Europe. We shouldn't fuck this up. The policies of the next years can decide how the EU and Russia treat each other in 30 years. I don't want to be on bad terms with our most powerful neighbour and I don't want the Russians to completely distance themselves from the European project either. The future is cooperation. EDIT: One more thing. I'm also opposed to the level of immigration of the recent decade. It's just too much, especially considering that a large percentage of the people who are coming has a rather backwards ideology. It's an economic and more importantly a security risk. Yes, of course there will be neo nazis opposing immigration... naturally. But just because you happen to agree with them on one issue doesn't mean you (or in the case of Russia the whole country) is in danger of becoming neo nazi. You said some bad things about America in your comments so far, that's also a trait of the extreme right in Europe. Should I now regard you as a national socialist for that alone?
Michael Berthelsen (23 hours ago)
Huschibaba Finding individual problems is easy (FIFA and VW), but in the US is systemically encouraged, and never treated very seriously nor severely. As for Russia, we have been trying to integrate with them for decades now, trying to work with them, and it never changes anything. If you look at the propaganda comming out of Russia, WE are the enemy, the opponent, the evil, letting those pesky 'crime and disease-ridden BROWN ANIMALS' into our 'beloved WHITE' nations, destroying Europe. They're not Nazi's, but they're moving in the same direction, and working with them hasn't worked yet. They're still suffering from a (partially religiously founded) superiority complex, and are racist because of that. And China is willing to work with anyone for money, they don't care, so if you think we're that dependent on Russia, we're screwed either way.
Huschibaba (1 day ago)
Michael Berthelsen I understand your point but I happen to disagree.. that's all. You say "but that won't change with negotiations and appeasement".. we can't know that. There's time for sanctions and there's time for negotiations. I don't think Russia in 2018 is an example of a nation that is lost to such a degree that we can't integrate them into the European community anymore and our results with sanctions are also very limited. I persoally fear that if we isolate Russia even more they will turn completely towards Asia and that will A) harm us more than them B) create a divide in the European continent that will take a long time to overcome C) certainly not make them reevaluate their current regime... since China is basically the same. PS: I agree, Europe is generally more regulated than the US, but just think of FIFA (lol) or VW. Both are examples of how corrupt Europeans are as well.
Michael Berthelsen (1 day ago)
Huschibaba As for the same things happening elsewhere, I know. I'm not a big fan of the US either. Europe, however, actually have pretty stringent laws that are mostly followed, and when not, are generally prosecuted (unlike the US).

There is corruption everywhere. As for Qatar hosting the world cup, britons like John Oliver just can't get over the fact that a middle east country will be hosting such a grand tournament. They would rather it be hosted by countries like us i.e. UK, USA, Australia, in other words, English speaking, white majority countries. Bloody Racist Hypocrites.

It's FOOTBALL
5:32 my professor for international sports management was part of the team of lawyers that won that lawsuit... It's pretty hilarious if you hear more about it (which you can. It's all open files.) One of the arguments was that beer comes from Germany. In Germany most alcohols have a masculine article. Der Wein, der Vodka, der Whiskey, der Champagner, etc, yet beer is the only one having a neutral article, das Bier. Therefore, beer is not alcohol, which is being supported by the fact that in bavarian law beer is considered a staple food. All of this, of course, is completely true, and all of this, of course, is total bullshit that makes no sense whatsoever, if looked at rationally. Yet this was a valid argument that played into the decision. And just to make this clear, with hilarious I mean terribly concerning.

In Romanian, the name “Blatter” has a special connotation for “Blat” literarily means: _“tampered football match”_ ... and also _"shady deal, deal made under the table, dark agreement made between parties”_ so understandably, for us hearing the FIFA’s boss name it only makes sense. It’s like hearing about a police officer named _“Trigger”_ , or about a politician named _“Pocket”_ ... or, why not, _“Trump”_ only in this case it’s about a sarcasm for it belongs to a person which through his entire day by day actions represents in fact exactly the opposite (like, 180 degrees opposite) of what is described in Webster’s as: _"a dependable and exemplary person”_ Deal with that one, America... LOL

A nonprofit with a billion in reserves is called a racket... And some interesting background on the Budweiser rule: In 2008, Anheuser-Busch was purchased by Belgian-Brazilian conglomerate InBev. The company continues to market Budweiser as American, and I'd bet the same owners are related to #FIFA

All I want to understand is this, Why does "Western Media" persist to say that "Migrant" workers cannot leave Qatar unless they get permission from the "Sponsor". 1) Another word for a sponsor in Qatar is Master 2) It's not about the migrant poor workers, it sounds bad but think of it for a second A lawyer, an executive, a General manager ALSO cannot leave the country unless their sponsor agrees and gives them an exit permit. Imagine the power u have over these execs. That's were the real damage and real corruption happens. When u cannot get out for a holiday or out for good, they manipulate u till they get what they want and if they get caught, it was u who signed the papers and is legally liable for whatever it is that they pressured u to do. Do u finally get it???

How to become bitcoin trader? Exactly like Bitcoin, multiple digital currencies exist in the marketplace. So if you prefer to buy a few other currencies which aren`t available on Indian Exchange than you can utilize Bittrex. All you have to do is locate an exchange that you favor. Cryptocurrency exchanges have a massive potential to modify peoples minds and opinions concerning cryptocurrencies generally speaking and their application in actual life. So even in the event the exchange is attacked, its still true that you have your money. Furthermore, the exchanges prepare each and every industry for Bitcoin expansion. Existing stock exchanges will also compete to be able to fulfill the users configuration requirements. Sooner or later later on, the prices will grow more equal, meeting somewhere in the middleyour profit is equivalent to the quantity of convergence. No matter how far it is from Kijun, it is likely to return and test that level at some point. The amount of bitcoin is perpetually changing. In the US, it is 1000 USD. Whats even better, seek the services of a seasoned lawyer or at least ask for an in depth consultation. So youve read the newspaper about the meteoric growth of crypto currencies including Bitcoin or Ripple. Then coming up with 1000s of exchange rates simply to go out and get groceries is nearly impossible. Many cities around the world provide a bitcoin ATM where you are able to trade cash for bitcoin. The cryptocurrency world isn`t efficient.
