I love pomegranate juice so they can really make whatever crazy claims they want, that's not why I'm buying lol
I want to travel back to the imte of this video.
I hope companies are watching the right way to counter comics: with comedy!

Don't let your admiration blind you to the bullshit; that's how religions get started.

That really was a great letter. I hate bullshit marketing, but the Pom Wonderful (regular) juice does at least taste great. Too bad it costs so much.
MARSHAL BAEK (1 month ago)
Not easy to earn John Oliver’s respect, but clearly this letter did. It also shows how much context and expression written communication can convey to those that pay close attention to detail.

As a follow-up to the FTC cease and desist, POM lost their case and the Supreme Court declined to take it up, allowing the judgment to stand. So, Nice reply, POM, but you were in fact found legally culpable.

The player got played! 🤣😂

“That research isn’t definitive.” *funniest expression I’ve ever seen John Oliver make*

You know, that complaining really works. Years ago I wrote to GE and complained about the unavailability of rechargeable batteries. They sent me a box of them. I complained to Ben and Jerry's about a lack of marshmallow in their Phish Food. They sent me a bunch of coupons for free ice cream. I wrote to Kansas City Steaks about the poor quality of the meat I had received. Two whole boxes of really beautiful steaks.Nobody wrote me a note like Pom did, though.

I just watched this, I manage a produce department and have to deal with POM sales rep's all the time. Telling you right now if I see any of those "may contain dogs" stickers on those juices I'm fucking leaving them there. POM reps are smug annoying little fucks.
Malvavisco (6 months ago)
When he says "bottle," it sounds like "butthole." Lol!
felixvelariusbos (6 months ago)
I still come back to watch this; I feel like it's the one time somebody truly got one over on Oliver after all of the trolling he has wrought, and they did it in such a beautiful way. A+ POM

Pom is owned by Stuart Resnick and his wife (shown in the first clip touting Pom juice), and he essentially owns 80% of the water in California, and uses it to grow almonds for export: in spite of taking a gallon of water to grow a single almond, it is the most lucrative cash crop that can be grown there. California doesn't have droughts, it has a water monopoly.

There actually have been many studies that show the many benefits of pomegranates, including decreasing prostate cancer. The reason they can't call their research "definitive" in regards to the effect on long-term illnesses is the fact that natural products have a much harder time with the FDA, which favors chemicals and the billion dollar pharmaceutical industry. Studies for natural products get barely any government funding, and research on animals (even though it's only 10% effective) also gets more government grants. It's not a fair system, and I wouldn't put all my trust in the FDA by any means. I'd treat POM's claims as equal as any other claim. The FDA isn't the end-all to food/supplement/drug safety....after all, tons and tons and TONS of drugs that were approved by the FDA went on to kill lots of people before being taken off the market. We should give the benefit of acknowledgement/consideration to any food/nutrient/supplement/etc that has shown some evidence of helping people/animals, even if it's minimal. The lady from POM wasn't pulling that fact out of her ass - many, many people who specialize in nutrition and health have said the same thing about pomegranate.

How to become bitcoin trader? Exactly like Bitcoin, multiple digital currencies exist in the marketplace. So if you prefer to buy a few other currencies which aren`t available on Indian Exchange than you can utilize Bittrex. All you have to do is locate an exchange that you favor. Cryptocurrency exchanges have a massive potential to modify peoples minds and opinions concerning cryptocurrencies generally speaking and their application in actual life. So even in the event the exchange is attacked, its still true that you have your money. Furthermore, the exchanges prepare each and every industry for Bitcoin expansion. Existing stock exchanges will also compete to be able to fulfill the users configuration requirements. Sooner or later later on, the prices will grow more equal, meeting somewhere in the middleyour profit is equivalent to the quantity of convergence. No matter how far it is from Kijun, it is likely to return and test that level at some point. The amount of bitcoin is perpetually changing. In the US, it is 1000 USD. Whats even better, seek the services of a seasoned lawyer or at least ask for an in depth consultation. So youve read the newspaper about the meteoric growth of crypto currencies including Bitcoin or Ripple. Then coming up with 1000s of exchange rates simply to go out and get groceries is nearly impossible. Many cities around the world provide a bitcoin ATM where you are able to trade cash for bitcoin. The cryptocurrency world isn`t efficient.
